Often when we come to therapy, our struggles feel on full display—a spotlight shining on our biggest insecurities and fears. Autistics and ADHDers may feel this with a special intensity after years of receiving the message that something is "off" about them and should change. I come to my work knowing how vulnerable it can feel to take the first step, and prioritize creating a neuroaffirming space of warmth, acceptance, and trust.

I'm passionate about working with neurotypical and neurodivergent young people alike as they grow and learn about themselves and the world. I support children in learning about emotions and how to manage their "big feelings;" teenagers in moving through this strange and exciting time between childhood and young adulthood; and young adults in navigating their paths forward. Therapy for children and teenagers also means working closely with parents to increase support and understanding outside of the therapy office. In a warm, nonjudgmental setting, parents and I collaborate to pair their expertise of their child with my knowledge of childhood mental health and neurodiversity.

My specialties include working with autistic and ADHD individuals and their loved ones, as well as supporting clients in areas such as anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, depression, autistic burnout, and gender identity. In my work I utilize play and art therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, internal family systems, and mindfulness. Before joining Starobin Counseling, I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore (UMB), specializing in Behavioral Health. While earning my Master's degree, I interned with Expressive Therapy Center, working with clients ranging from childhood to middle age and gaining experience in expressive therapy approaches. I previously interned with the UMB Office of Educational Support & Disability Services to support disability rights initiatives, secure accommodations for students with disabilities, and provide academic coaching. I also accumulated over 200 hours of crisis intervention experience while volunteering with Crisis Text Line, and have been trained in the SPACE approach by Dr. Eli Lebowitz of the Yale Child Study Center.
