I’m an LCPC who specializes in working collaboratively with parents and caregivers of children and young adults. My work emphasizes helping parents reduce anxiety and challenging behaviors in their children. I was trained at the Yale Child Study Center in the SPACE approach to help reduce cycles that can feed anxiety. Besides young children, this approach has also been proven effective for parents of anxious young adults who may be having difficulty launching into their adult lives.

For parents of young children ages 2-7 years old with special needs in the areas of behavior and social-emotional challenges, I’m a certified provider of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).  I gently guide parents using bug-in-the ear parent coaching into calmer, more satisfying interactions with their little ones with intense behaviors.  Using Integrative Attachment Family Therapy combined with Emotion Focused Therapy, I help caregivers learn how to identify and support both their own emotions as well as their child’s.

For adults living with depression, anxiety, life stage transition, and relationship challenges, I can help them access and refine individual needs drawing from my years of training and experience in mindfulness-based interventions, experiential and expressive modalities meant to penetrate and help restructure stuck patterns into new forms of connection and insight when verbal processing is not enough. Used in conjunction with traditional evidence-based approaches, my adult clients work on constructing a new dynamic personal narrative aligned with their core values for more fulfilled and peaceful living.

I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Tennessee and my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University Maryland with enhanced studies in interfaith pastoral counseling. I’m a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors. I have trained with pioneers in the field of expressive therapies and uses my years of experience and solid knowledge base in advocacy for neurodiverse communities to enhance and inform my work when serving autistic people and their families.

I provide therapy for children and adults as well as parent-focused therapy. To request a free, brief consultation, click “Request an Appointment”.
